FARMING
Located in Winchmore, Mid Canterbury, Alford Farms consists of two beef and lamb finishing properties, and a dairy farm that produces A2 dairy protein.
Alford Farms is managed by Hayden McCambridge and his partner, Kate Griffiths, who also serves as APG’s Compliance Manager.
Leading a team of seven, Hayden oversees the management of all Canterbury properties including the grazing and lease blocks. An innovative thinker, hard worker and proud farmer, Hayden brings invaluable experience across sheep, beef and dairy farming. Hayden and Kate’s leadership and commitment to performance are key to the farm’s success. Having been with APG for over a decade, they have raised their two children, Olivia and Tom, on the farm—both of whom now lend a hand during the school holidays.
Day-to-day management of the dairy farm is handled by Rosella Mijs, who joined Alford Farms in 2022.
With Hayden and Kate’s support, Rosella has made the role her own, producing milk with a sustainable focus and delivering award-winning results.
Since acquiring the property in 2022, APG has also introduced Halter technology to drive innovative and sustainable farming practices.
